Have you ever been cooking and following a recipe and realize that you are not sure how to convert ounces into cups or teaspoons into tablespoons?  I'm sure a lot of us have done just that.  In today's electronic based world you can use your phone or tablet to search for these measurements.  And even if you have access to those you may not always want to stop what you are doing to search the answers.
